Our Story
Tinkerbell Cleaning is a woman-led, family-owned business that has been serving the Dallas-Ft Worth area for the last 15 years.
The company was founded in 2006 by Carmen “Delia” Martinez, a first-generation immigrant from Mexico as a way to support her family and teach her children the importance of an entrepreneurial spirit. Through the next decade, the business slowly grew to include a wide array of home and office cleaning and became the kind of thriving family business so typical of the American dream.

Meet Our Founder
Carmen “Delia” Martinez is a first-generation immigrant from Mexico who started a small cleaning service in 2006 as a way to support her family and teach her children the value of hard work and perseverance. Today, aside from just running the company, she still gets her hands dirty, along with the other housecleaning staff and says she’ll continue to do so until it’s time to retire. “I like cleaning,” she says whenever asked. “It’s why I got into this business. Why would I give up my favorite part of my job?”
What’s In A Name?
Delia decided to call her company “Tinkerbell Cleaning” because as a petite but strong business owner and mother, she identifies with the diminutive powerhouse bought to life in Sir James Matthew Barrie’s beloved play.
Like the author, who was known to friends as “J.M.,” rather than James, Delia prefers the nickname she’s used most of her life rather than her given name “Carmen,” because she thinks it suits her best. “If you know a lot of Mexican people,” she says “you know we go by a lot of names, it’s part of the culture. I have friends who still call me “Rosa” after my Mother’s family name, a lot of people call me “China” because of my curly hair, but I don’t really like that. I think Delia suits me best, it’s what my real friends call me.”
